Welcome back to the Mount Aspiring Tri Club for our Summer Season. The Hiatus in our regular training is over – this we will resume our regular training structure
Massive congratulations need to go to the winter cycling crew who have, under the passionate support of Alex, put in an astounding effort to achieve spectacular results at the Young Junior Tour of Southland. Kia kaha to you all – we can’t wait to hear your stories – we may even receive a race report to publish to our archive here.
Training Schedule:
Club Swim | Club Run | Club Ride |
---|---|---|
MONDAYS 6:00pm | THURSDAY 15 OCTOBER 3:30PM Room 23 | FRIDAY 16 OCTOBER 3:45pm Room 23 |
Club swimming will commence after labour weekend, presuming the lake temperatures exceed our thresholds. | Our club runs are all-access events which operate over a range of courses. While it’s called a ‘run’, in fact we will often emphasise strength and core as part of our runs. | A mainstay of our club for the last three years, our Friday Ride has become an institution. We operate these rides over a range of courses and always operate a ‘no drop’ protocol. |
THIS WEEK: “Jumping around town” | THIS WEEK: “Mt Barker Power Sets” | |
If inclement weather exceeds our safety thresholds for any of our training events, I will endeavour to notify everyone 2 hours before the start time – but this can occur closer to the time if the weather change is sudden!
Novice Division (Formerly the Girls’ Division)
Just before lockdown, we initiated our novice rides – and they turned out to be very popular. We’re planning to re-introduce these on Tuesdays during Week 2 of this term – so do let us know if you’re keen to come along
