This is a swim-free week, and we're all heading to Sticky Forest for the run. Wanaka Hills is the ride, which contains its own special challenges!

If you’re a GPS user, we have developed specific Strava Segments for our training locations which are all collected on our site. Check them out to see where you stand on the league tables!

Our Training Calendar

Our training and event calendar can be found at: http://trisport.mtaspiring.edutronic.net/training-calendar/ – and you can merge it with your own device if you like

We’ll have to give the swim a miss this week, as our safety crew are out – but everything else is going ahead as normal.

While we’re talking safety crew, this might be a good moment to pay tribute to the people who show up week in and week out to make our club training possible. As we all know, there are risks attached to the training we do, and our safety plans are strict about the required ratios of people who are there to protect the team.

Thank all of you for everything you do for us. If you’re an adult who has a connection to the club, do always be invited to join our friendly and voluntary safety crew – it’s always great to have depth in the team!

Training Schedule:

Club Swim – PostponedClub RunClub Ride
MONDAY 9 NOVEMBER
6:00pm Sealed Carpark in Roy’s bay
THURSDAY 12 NOVEMBER
3:30pm Room 23
FRIDAY 13 NOVEMBER
3:45pm Room 23
Open water swimming for all. Wetsuits are compulsory and most levels are catered for.
Our club runs are all-access events which operate over a range of courses. While it’s called a ‘run’, in fact we will often emphasise strength and core as part of our runs.

A mainstay of our club for the last three years, our Friday Ride has become an institution. We operate these rides over a range of courses and always operate a ‘no drop’ protocol.
THIS WEEK:
“Hiatus” – we should be back in the lake next week.
THIS WEEK:
“Free Running in Sticky Forest”
THIS WEEK:
“Wanaka Hills”

If inclement weather exceeds our safety thresholds for any of our training events, I will endeavour to notify everyone 2 hours before the start time – but this can occur closer to the time if the weather change is sudden!

Our club is all about participation, and alongside the excellent commitment of the student athletes, we welcome family members and members of the community to join us in all of our training sessions. They’re designed to accommodate all levels and abilities and are a lot of fun. If you have it in mind that you’d like to join any of our regular sessions, simply let me know and we’ll make sure you have all the information you need.

Righto!
