Last Week’s Training

What great rides we had last week! Congratulations to everyone for completing a crucial stage in our Yunca Tour preparation. By controlling your effort, and heading out on the longer ride, you’re building both your physical and mental toughness.

Tomorrow night’s swim will be an easier one – we’re reduce the duration to under 30 minutes and keep the effort light. You can see this as a ‘recovery’ set, and you’re welcome to spend the rest of the time in the learners’ or hot pool to relax after a great weekend’s training.

Eat well, sleep well, and take every chance to recover this week in preparation for our bike weekend to come: 5 sessions in 3 days will help you get a sense of the cumulative effect of multi-stage races like the Yunca Tour. Alex and I have some fun and unexpected elements to keep your spirits up – you’re all doing brilliantly.

Peak to Peak

Congratulations to our club members who performed so brilliantly in the Peak to Peak challenge over the weekend. Both the primary and secondary teams won their categories, and there were some outstanding individual performances.

We need three more people to opt in to buy or hire a club skin suit for cycling in order for us to qualify for the 10 item cost. If anyone who wants one didn’t get the chance to fill out the form, you can still do so here.

Our club is all about participation, and alongside the excellent commitment of the student athletes, we welcome family members and members of the community to join us in all of our training sessions. They’re designed to accommodate all levels and abilities and are a lot of fun. If you have it in mind that you’d like to join any of our regular sessions, simply let me know and we’ll make sure you have all the information you need.

Righto!
